Prof. Ahmad Al-Samdan
Partner and Founder
Prof. Ahmad Al-Samdan is a Partner at ILG with over 40 years of experience, specializing in corporate and commercial litigation, arbitration, and intellectual property.
He presently serves as Chair of the Academic Publication Council at Kuwait University as well as the current Secretary-General of the National Committee for the Prevention of Drugs.
Prof. Al-Samdan previously served as Dean of Kuwait University’s Law School and Professor of Private International Law. He has held a number of prominent positions in Kuwait’s government and education sectors. He has acted as a legal advisor to several commercial and judicial arbitration bodies, such as Customs, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, and the Private Universities Council.
Prof. Al-Samdan holds a PhD and Master of Science in Juridical Science from Duke University, USA, and a Law Degree from Kuwait University. He has published over 19 research papers and authored 4 academic books.
